This week we learned that Jesus can help our friends and we learned about the four friends in Mark 2:1-12. We made friendship bracelets and had LOTS of fun building together with blocks, lincoln legos, and foam puzzle pieces. We also talked all about our friends and what we like to do with our friends.
Just like the man's friends lowered him down on a blanket to Jesus, we took a swim towel and pretended that it was the mat. We took turns laying on the mat and the volunteers carrying them around the room.
We also went over last week's lesson about Jesus healing the blind man while we looked through the beans to find googly eyes.
Have a GREAT week, and we will see you on Sunday!

God Can Heal Us
March 8th, we learned that God helps us. He can heal us like He did with the blind man. We looked for googly eyes in the beans, and we looked in the mirror to see what eye color we all had. The kids made funny faces in the playdough with googly eyes.
We sang "I Am a Friend of God" with all of the sign language motions. We may just have some little worship leaders in the making!!
As always, we repeated our 3 main truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Ask your child if they can remember the motions!
We found the prayer spot and prayed at it and said the memory verse with our eyes closed so that we could wonder what it was like for the blind man.
Most of all, we laughed and giggled and had a great time with Jesus. Ask your child what Jesus is making in heaven for them.

Zaccheus
This week, our Bible story was about Zaccheus. He was not doing what was right because he was taking from other people. One day, Zaccheus heard Jesus was coming to town. Zaccheus tried to see Jesus but he was too short to see over the crowd. So, he climbed into a sycamore tree. Zaccheus saw Jesus and Jesus saw him in the tree. He told Zaccheus to come down because he wanted to go visit Zaccheus's house. After Jesus spent time with Zaccheus, Zaccheus learned to do the right thing.
We sang our song: "Deep and Wide" about how deep and wide God's love is for us. Then we sang a song about Zaccheus.
Our verse is Ephesians 3:18, and we practiced saying our verse quietly and loudly.
For craft time, we colored a picture of Zaccheus in the tree. We used pieces if green tissue paper to glue on the trees like leaves.
Have a great week, and we will see you on Sunday!

God Wants Us To Love Others
Over the last 2 weeks we have learned that God's love cannot be measured. We have had a lot of fun meeting Oliva Measuring who measures everything! This past week Oliva Measuring measured a giraffe's tail.
We learned that God wants us to love others. To illustrate that, we made Valentine cards to give to someone that we love. We also made pretzels with peanut butter and bird seed to love our feathered friends.
Here are some fun activities that you can do with your child this week to continue the lesson:
Make cookies and take to a someone you love. Let the children help measure all the ingredients and talk about God's love for us cannot be measured.Trace around your child's profile onto paper and put band-aids on the paper. Talk about the story of the Good Samaritan and how he helped the man who was beaten. Discuss how much God wants us to love others and take care of them.
Visit your neighbor and take flowers.
Have a great week, and we will see you on Sunday!

God's Love
This Sunday, we learned that God's love is SO deep and SO wide that it cannot be measured. We learned all about measuring by using a tape to measure many different things in the room. Each of the kids took a try at jumping as high as they could and we marked it on paper. We also decorated our own rules with stickers.
During our Bible story, we learned that God is like a shepherd. One sheep got lost, but the shepherd loved the sheep so much that he searched and searched until he found the sheep and brought him back to the heard. This is how much God loves us. Even when we get lost, God loves us so much that he searches for us and brings us back.
Our verse this week is Ephesians 3:18 - "How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ."
This week, if you want to continue learn about sheep and measuring, you can make a sheep pen with masking tape on the floor and scatter cotton balls around the room. Then, you can round up all of the lost "sheep" and put them back into the pen while you talk about how much God loves them.
You can also take out the kitchen measuring spoons and measure water out into a measuring cup.
See you next Sunday!!

We Can Talk To God And He Heals Us
This week we finished up our last January lesson focusing on prayer. We learned that we can talk to God, and God can talk to us!! God can also heal us. This was an ESPECIALLY good lesson for us to hear this week because we had many coughs and runny noses in our class!
Here are some fun things that you can do this week!
Make get well cards for someone sick and pray for them when you deliver the card.
Take toilet paper and wrap your legs like the lame man in our Bible story and reenact it.
See you next Sunday!!
We Can Talk to Jesus
On January 20th, we learned that we can talk to Jesus. We heard the story of the woman with the perfume who loved Jesus so much that she bowed down and washed His feet with her tears. She also gave Jesus her VERY special perfume. She did this as as a way to worship Him because she loved Him VERY much.
We practiced our Bible verse: "Continue praying, keeping alert, and always thanking God." Colossians 4:2 We also sang our new song "Hey I Can Pray."
The kids were allowed to see a very pretty bottle of perfume and smell it to give them an idea of how special the woman's perfume was that she gave to Jesus.
As a craft, we colored and decorated a picture of the woman washing Jesus' feet.
See you next Sunday!
